It is the evidence of the forces and processes of nature that drive my artistic practice. Wind, water and ice sculpted surfaces; cracks, crevices, deposits and residues; progression and regression in relation not only to ice but also vegetation and lichen growth. As important is the way that these phenomena speak of the passage of time, but also bring one into the immediate moment, whereby through quiet reflection one can not help but experience a sense of the interconnectedness of all things.
It is an expression of these experiences that I wish to explore and bring into the artworks I make.
